Our Medical Office Coding and Billing Specialist program prepares students to work in medical office settings like clinics, doctor’s offices, or other healthcare facilities.

WHAT TO EXPECT

At the end of this eight-month course, students will have learned:

  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Health information management
  • Patient and insurance billing
  • Managing patient records and running a doctor's office

Once completed, students are eligible to take the national registry exam to become certified as a Medical Administrative Assistant with a Billing and Coding Certification and Electronic Health Records Certification.

EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Students spend ten weeks gaining real-world experience by applying their newly learned skills in local medical facilities.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates of this program can successfully step into roles as a receptionist in a hospital or doctor’s office, insurance specialist, or billing and collections coding specialist.
