Rehab Technician Program (9 Weeks)

This program will prepare students for entry level positions as a nurse assistant. The program will provide instruction in basic nursing skills, vital signs, personal care, and activities of daily living. The program includes classroom, hands on lab experience and clinical rotations. In addition students will basic rehab skills, learn how to maintain treatment areas and prep for therapy seesions. Students completing the program will be eligible to take the nurse assistant certification exam and the physical therapy technician certification exam

This course will prepare you to:

  • Assist and provide basic rehab care
  • Be able to identify different types of equipment used in therapy
  • Be knowledgeable of treatment modalities
  • Perform different types of exercises and lab skills
  • Be readily prepared for employment
  • Applicant Must Be 18 Years Or Older
  • Applicant Must Have An 8th Grade Education Or Obtain A 70% Or Better On The Schools Entrance Exam
  • Must Have Completed The Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide Program
  • Student cannot be listed as unemployable on the employee misconduct registry and cannot have been convicted of a criminal offense as listed in the Texas Health and Safety Code 250.006
Certified Nurse Assistant
Upon completion of the program students may gain entry level employment in hospitals, clinics, medical labs nursing homes, home health agencies, surgical centers, rehab hospitals, rehab clinics and doctors offices.
